On Wednesday, January 28, 2015, I happened to walk past a flea market. My gaze fell on a painted canvas. It was The Origin of the World. It was a rather poor-quality copy, lying on the pavement between a bicycle wheel and a set of silver teaspoons. I thought to myself that for a few euros, I would love to add it to my collection of various and varied objects that are patiently waiting for their moment to appear in a future show."
