Five million French people often struggle to juggle their role as caregivers with their professional lives. Many caregivers are unaware of their status, and many have little or no knowledge of the assistance available to them. However, there are support systems in place that they can rely on.
During this round table discussion, social service assistants from UM and CNRS, accompanied by experts in their field, will present the tools and resources available for both caregivers and care recipients. They will specifically address the situation of caregivers for dependent elderly people.
Speakers:
- Marina Martinez-Canadas, staff social services assistant at the University of Montpellier;
- Florian Bedjaoui, staff social services assistant at the University of Montpellier;
- Estelle Jacquot, staff social services assistant at the CNRS;
- Frédéric Pizzo, occupational psychologist at the University of Montpellier;
- Camille Benzine, Head of the Paerpa Executive Department and the Territorial Support Coordination Unit 34;
- Amélie Unal, independent legal representative for the protection of adults.
This event is part of "Workplace Well-Being Week."
