Roundtable Discussion: “LGBTQI+ Inclusion in the Workplace”
This event has already taken place!
Via Zoom video conference.
What do LGBT people experience during an internship or at work? While there may certainly be clearly inappropriate comments and discriminatory attitudes, even with good intentions, are we certain that we’re creating a truly inclusive environment? The short film “La case,” which producer Claire Beffa will discuss live, will highlight these situations regularly experienced by LGBT people. At theUM, we’ve developed a brochure offering guidance to supervisors on how to improve inclusion. This roundtable discussion will be an opportunity to present it before distributing it throughout our organizations and, together with you, to explore actions that will allow us to take even greater strides toward inclusion.
Speakers:
- Agnès Fichard-Carroll, Executive Vice President for “University Social Responsibility”;
- Claire Beffa, founder of LaClairière Production, a documentary film production company specializing in personal accounts related to the fight against all forms of discrimination.
