TEDx IAE Montpellier 2025: Dive into the heart of illusion

TEDxIAEMontpellier returns for its 3ᵉ edition on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 1:30pm to 6:30pm, at the Institut de Botanique de Montpellier. After Impact (2021) and Vivement demain? (2023), the event promises to be more intriguing than ever with a new theme: ILLUSION.

Are you ready to question your certainties?

In a world where our perceptions are constantly put to the test, where truth and falsity merge between visual manipulations, cognitive distortions and digital realities, TEDxIAEMontpellier 2025 invites you to explore the world of illusion.

How can we distinguish the authentic from the simulated? How far do our beliefs influence our perception of reality?

Nine personalities from a variety of backgrounds - entrepreneur, researcher, explorer, artist, doctor... - invite us to look beyond appearances and sharpen our critical faculties... while leaving room for wonder. Their aim: to get us to look differently, to understand what lies behind our illusions and to perceive a different reality.

On the program: reflection on the illusion of the perfect body, discovery of a medicine reinvented by technology, immersion in generative art... and many other voices to listen to in order to lift the veil of our certainties and rethink reality.

An inspiring event in Montpellier

Supported by IAE Montpellier, the University of Montpellier and Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole, TEDxIAEMontpellier is organized by a team of volunteers made up of IAE Montpellier students, graduates, administrative staff and teachers. Since 2021, the event has hosted some outstanding talks: on water and climate issues, for a more humanist psychiatry, around the certainties of modern Homo Sapiens, or on inclusion through sport...

Each edition is conceived as a genuine experience, and embodies the values of sharing, openness and commitment.
