  • Dates: May 9–23, 2022
  • Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Location:

The University of Montpellier is recruiting library tutors who are in their first year of a master’s program or their fourth year of a health sciences program for the Richter, Health, and Science libraries for the period from September 2022 to May 2023.

Being a tutor at a university library means:

  • welcome and assist undergraduate students in getting to know the university libraries and their services, as well as in their research;
  • help design and facilitate training sessions (in-person workshops, tutorials, and distance learning) on information resources, in conjunction with subject-specific courses;
  • develop expertise in the digital tools provided by the university libraries and help promote their use among students.

Above all, it’s about enjoying sharing your experience and expertise, and developing your interpersonal and teaching skills.

The library tutoring program leads to an institutional certificate in “Training for Qualified Tutor Roles” (upon completion of an internship) and subsequently offers the opportunity to secure a paid position.
