Video Chat Conference on “Gender-Based and Sexual Violence”

How can we identify gender-based and sexual violence? How can we prevent it? How should we respond to a situation involving gender-based and sexual violence? What resources are available at the university? The goal of this video chat is to raise awareness among students about this type of violence in order to foster understanding and behavioral change.

ONLINE MODULE: “PREVENTION OF GENDER-BASED AND SEXUAL VIOLENCE”

Raising awareness of gender-based and sexual violence (GBV) is essential in all contexts, including higher education. Throughout this online module, through animated videos, you’ll follow a group of six students and learn about a variety of topics, such as consent, how to respond to gender-based and sexual violence, harassment, hazing, cyberbullying, and disciplinary procedures.
These initiatives are offered by the Quality of Life at Work Department —Campus Life Division.
Report acts of violence, discrimination, harassment, and sexist behavior
As part of its gender equality plan, and to combat all forms of discrimination and violence,UM established an internal support system that relies on point persons and a support team composed of a network of counselors. This system is intended for the entire university community—whether they are victims or witnesses of acts of violence, discrimination, psychological or sexual harassment, or sexist behavior.
