Young Scientists Cancer Congress, 2nd Edition

Following the resounding success of the first edition, the YS2C Young Scientist Cancer Congress is back for its second edition on October 10 and 11, 2024, in Montpellier.

The theme of this conference is “New Translational Approaches in Cancer Therapies,” and it will bring together researchers and clinicians.

This year, we are honored to have international speakers from Europe and the United States, an editor from Nature Communications, and the University of Berlin participating in the event.

One session will be devoted to clinical aspects and will be led by Prof. C. Herbaux of the Montpellier University Hospital. This initiative aims to make clinicians’ research accessible to participants, even those who are not specialists.

Scheduled for the first day of the conference, this session builds on the “physician corner,” which was very well received during the first edition. The main objective is to shed light on a specific clinical issue and to discuss methodological approaches in biology and bioinformatics that could provide solutions. Another new feature this year is a roundtable discussion between researchers and students in the Master’s program in Oncology at the University of Montpellier, which will enrich the conference. It will facilitate dialogue between researchers and students, demystify careers in cancer research, foster discussions about the future, and offer a diverse range of perspectives.
