"14/18, Medicine in the Field of Honor": a virtual exhibition

From major scientific breakthroughs to the life of a university during wartime, plunge into the heart of 4 years that changed the history of the world... and that of medicine.

Discover the online exhibition "14/18 Medicine in the Field of Honor". Presented in 2014 at the UFR de médecine, this exhibition attracted over 3,000 visitors in just a few weeks. Now you can find it in a new virtual format.

Using archive documents, objects from the Montpellier Anatomy Conservatory and private collections, books and theses from the University Medical Library, and Dr. Morlock's research work, she evokes the context of Montpellier, life at the front and conditions of care, the medical advances of the period, and briefly traces the careers of the doctors, students and faculty staff who lost their lives there.

This exhibition has been online since November 18, 2016, on the occasion of the ^19th European University Heritage Day with the theme "The legacy of the 1914/18 war".
