Meeting the Future Teachers of UM
As part of the registration campaign for the Ministry of National Education and Youth’s teacher recruitment exams, a coffee-and-discussion event on careers in education was held on November 7 at the Faculty of Education in Montpellier. It brought together nearly 30 students from the Master’s and Bachelor’s programs in Teaching, Education, and Training (MEEF), as well as from the Department of Science and Techniques of Physical and Sports Activities (STAPS) and the Faculty of Sciences.
Sophie Béjean, Superintendent of the Montpellier School District; Isabelle Chazal, Secretary General of the Montpellier School District; Philippe Augé, President of the University of Montpellier; and Agnès Perrin-Doucey, Dean of the School of Education, were thus able to answer their questions regarding the competitive exam, compensation, responsibilities, career prospects, and the day-to-day realities of the teaching profession.
The registration deadline for teacher recruitment exams (CRPE, Agrégation, CAPES, CAPEPS, CAPET, and CAPLP) has been extended to Thursday, December 7, 2023.
