Applicants to the Fulbright Researcher Program – University of Montpellier are responsible for obtaining their own invitation from the U.S. institution of their choice. The invitation letter must mention the anticipated dates of the stay.

Candidates wishing to apply for a postdoctoral fellowship should check with their host institution in the United States regarding the financial conditions of such a fellowship. Some institutions may have specific requirements in terms of available resources. The Fulbright grant may not cover all expenses; it is up to candidates to find additional resources.

The application procedures, selection criteria, and benefits granted to winners under this program are identical to those of the national program.

The application process is more than just an administrative formality and must be carefully prepared in advance. In particular, the Commission expects a well-argued research proposal written in English, three letters of recommendation, and a letter of invitation from the host institution in the United States.

Selection procedure: The applications of candidates selected for the Fulbright Researcher Program – University of Montpellier by the Commission are also submitted to the university for approval.
