Applicants to the Fulbright Researcher – University of Montpellier program are responsible for securing their own invitation from the U.S. institution of their choice. The invitation letter must specify the anticipated dates of the stay.
Applicants wishing to apply for a postdoctoral fellowship should contact their host institution in the United States to inquire about the financial requirements for such a fellowship. Some institutions may have specific requirements regarding available resources. The Fulbright grant may not cover all expenses; it is the applicant’s responsibility to secure additional funding.
The application procedures, selection criteria, and benefits offered to recipients under this program are the same as those of the national program.
The application process is more than just an administrative formality and must be carefully prepared in advance. In particular, the Commission requires a well-reasoned research proposal written in English, three letters of recommendation, and a letter of invitation from the host institution in the United States.
Selection Process: The applications of candidates selected for the Fulbright Researcher – University of Montpellier program by the Commission are also subject to approval by the university.
