Cultivar: the plant improvement project

CultiVar trains students in plant improvement by introducing them to cutting-edge scientific research. It's a project that mobilizes a dynamic research and teaching community to make plant improvement a discipline with impactful spin-offs.

The project, funded by Agropolis Fondation, aims to ensure that cutting-edge research conducted by the Agropolis scientific community feeds into new teaching modules in the field of plant improvement. Researchers create training modules directly linked to their research topics. Several modules have already been inserted at the University of Montpellier, within the "Plant Functional Biology" and "Tropical Plant Biotechnology" masters programs. CultiVar supports several students with living and internship grants to follow the two-year master's program.

CultiVar: and now the film!

The project CultiVar of which the University of Montpellier is a partner, has just published a video clip that sums up its main objectives, achievements and challenges in five minutes. The film mixes animated images and real photos. Some of the University's students who have benefited from these courses and scholarships can be recognized.
