Free training course on high-performance computing
For the second consecutive year, starting in October 2016, the MESO@LR center is offering a free training course open to all on "high-performance computing (HPC)". This course consists of a two-hour lecture every month for nine months at the Triolet campus of the University of Montpellier.
The aim of this training course is to introduce and/or explore in greater depth the topics of computing/data (HPC, Big Data). It is aimed at researchers, doctoral students, engineers, industrialists, etc. from all fields, as well as novices in the field and those wishing to deepen their knowledge.
The range of topics covered will be broad, with presentations on hardware, tools, and examples of applications. The presentations will be given by manufacturers and users from various fields.
This training is open to everyone, but free registration is required.Each session is independent.
The first session, held on October 10, 2016, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., focuses on presenting the computing center:
“Presentation of MESO@LR equipment, how to submit and launch your first job”.

This first session will also be an opportunity to present the equipment currently being installed, the MUSE Cluster (MESO project), funded by the OCCITANIE / Pyrénées-Méditerranée Region and Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole as part of the 2015/2020 CPER (State-Region Partnership Contract).
