Free training cycle on high-performance computing

For the second year running, starting in October 2016, the MESO@LR center is offering a free training cycle open to all "around high-performance computing (HPC)". This cycle consists of a 2-hour conference every month for 9 months on the Triolet campus of the University of Montpellier.
The aim of this training course is to introduce participants to and/or deepen their knowledge of computing/data (HPC, Big Data). It is aimed at researchers, doctoral students, engineers and industrialists from all fields, as well as novices and those wishing to deepen their knowledge.
A broad spectrum of topics will be covered, with presentations on equipment, tools and application examples. Presentations will be given by industrialists and users from various fields.
This course is open to all, but free registration is required.. Each session is independent.
The first session on October 10, 2016 from 2 to 4 p.m. focuses on the presentation of the computing center :
"MESO@LR equipment presentation, how to submit and launch your first job"..

This first session will also be an opportunity to present the equipment currently being installed, the MUSE Cluster (MESO project), financed by the OCCITANIE / Pyrénées-Méditerranée Region and the Montpellier Méditerranée Metropolis as part of the 2015/2020 CPER.
