“Why not join us for school?”

As part of the recruitment campaign for teaching and educational staff, Sophie Béjean, Rector of the Occitanie Academic Region, Philippe Augé, President of the University of Montpellier, and Agnès Perrin-Doucey, Director of the Faculty of Education, met with students from the Faculty of Education on Tuesday, November 15.

Sophie Béjean, rector of the Occitanie academic region, reiterated the Ministry’s commitments to young teachers: a starting salary of 2,000 euros net per month, and personalized support throughout their careers and potential career paths. The UM Faculty of Education offers, prior to its MEEF master’s programs (teaching, education, and training professions) that prepare students for the teaching profession, a multidisciplinary bachelor’s degree at its campuses in Carcassonne, Mende, Montpellier, Nîmes, and Perpignan.

Extension of the registration period for the 2023 competitive exams

“Why not join us in the classroom?” This is the slogan under which registration for various national education competitive exams began on October 18. It was originally scheduled to close on November 18.
Pap NDIAYE, Minister of National Education and Youth, has decided to extend this registration period until December 2, 2022. This extension applies to all competitive exams for which registration began on October 18, namely recruitment for:

  • elementary and secondary school teachers, school staff, and school psychologists;
  • management staff;
  • youth and sports staff;
  • administrative, social services, healthcare, and library staff.

This also applies to registrations for the professional promotion exams in the administrative and library sectors, which opened on October 18, 2022.
