"How about joining us for school?"
As part of the campaign for recruitment competitions for teaching and education staff, Sophie Béjean, Rector of the Occitanie academic region, Philippe Augé, President of the University of Montpellier, and Agnès Perrin-Doucey, Director of the FDE, met with students from the Faculty of Education on Tuesday, November 15.

Sophie Béjean, rector of the Occitanie academic region, reiterated the ministry's commitments to young teachers: a starting salary of €2,000 net per month and personalized support throughout their career and any possible developments. The UM Faculty of Education offers a multidisciplinary bachelor's degree at its Carcassonne, Mende, Montpellier, Nîmes, and Perpignan campuses, prior to its MEEF (teaching, education, and training professions) master's degrees, which prepare students for a career in teaching.
Extension of the registration period for the 2023 competitions
"How about joining us at school?" That's how registration for various national education competitions was launched on October 18. It was supposed to close on November 18.
Pap NDIAYE, Minister of National Education and Youth, has decided to extend the registration period until December 2, 2022. This extension applies to all competitions for which registration began on October 18, namely recruitment:
- primary and secondary school teachers, education staff, and educational psychologists;
- management personnel;
- youth and sports personnel;
- administrative, social, health, and library staff.
This also applies to registrations for professional examinations for promotion in the administrative and library sectors, which opened on October 18, 2022.
