Quality at the UM

At the service of students, staff and partners, the "quality approach" is now at the heart of university concerns. Training, research, governance... many areas are concerned. At the UM, quality is being built step by step, through a process that has been underway for several years.

Why a quality approach?

  • to better meet the needs and expectations of our students, partners and staff,
  • to optimize our resources and improve our operations,
  • to strengthen the confidence of our partners through the assessment of our management system by an external, independent body,
  • to gain national and international visibility by obtaining ISO 9001 certification.

How do we do it? A step-by-step approach

The University of Montpellier has chosen to roll out the approach in stages, on defined perimeters, until certification, and then to build on the results obtained to continue deployment.

In parallel with the quality approach steered by the establishment's central level, UFRs, schools, institutes and research structures at the University of Montpellier have undertaken initiatives, some of which have led to certification or labeling.

What are our results and where are we going?

The culmination of this proactive quality approach is ISO 9001 V2015 certification, a well-known and recognized label, both nationally and internationally. To date, the following are certified:
