Association des ingénieurs diplômés par l'État presents its annual conference on the theme of employment of engineers and human resources

On Friday, October 20, 2023, the University of Montpellier and more specifically Polytech, organized and hosted the annual congress of the of the IDPE association, in partnership with the Conservatoire national des arts et métiers (Cnam), the fédération des élèves et anciens élèves du Cnam (FEAE Cnam), and the Association française pour le développement de l'enseignement technique (AFDET).

Congress issues

France is reindustrializing, with productivity and competitiveness as key objectives. This acceleration of our reindustrialization, driven by the French government, addresses a problem that has already been well identified: France has a shortage of engineers, particularly in the industrial sector.

How can companies deal with this situation, given their difficulty in recruiting? The aim of this conference was to explore solutions to this lack of trained and experienced engineers, through the opportunities offered by the IDPE scheme.

The event brought together a prestigious line-up of speakers, including human resources and higher education professionals, to discuss the vital role of talent management in the future of our industry.
