The association of state-certified engineers presents its annual conference on the topic of employment for engineers and human resources.

On Friday, October 20, 2023, the University of Montpellier, and more specifically Polytech, organized and hosted the annual conference of the IDPE association in partnership with the Conservatoire national des arts et métiers (Cnam), the federation of students and alumni of the Cnam (FEAE Cnam), and the French association for the development of technical education (AFDET).

This conference was held under the patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research.

The issues at stake at the conference

France is undergoing reindustrialization, with productivity and competitiveness as its main objectives. This acceleration of our reindustrialization, driven by the government, highlights a problem that has already been clearly identified: France has a shortage of engineers, particularly in the industrial sector.

How can companies struggling to recruit deal with this situation? This conference aimed to explore solutions to this shortage of trained and experienced engineers through the opportunities offered by the IDPE program.

This event brought together prestigious speakers, including human resources and higher education professionals, who came to discuss the vital role of talent management in the future of our industry.
