Article updated on November 28, 2025:

A key moment in the university’s democratic life, the elections to the central councils gave students and staff the opportunity to elect their representatives to the Board of Trustees, the Committee on Academic Programs and Campus Life, and the Research Committee of the University of Montpellier.

Detailed results are also available on the intranet for staff and on the Moodle platform for students.

The in-person election was held in two stages: on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, for staff, and on Thursday, November 27, 2025, for students.

Three key bodies that help shape the university’s overall direction.

The Board of Trustees plays a central role. Composed of 36 members, 24 of whom are elected, the Board of Trustees sets the institution’s broad policy guidelines and oversees their implementation. As a cornerstone of university governance, the Board ensures the consistency and stability of strategic decisions in the service of the academic community.
