The IUT of Nîmes is hosting the 9th edition of the Civil Engineering & Sustainable Construction Challenge of the civil engineering departments of the IUTs of France

The building of tomorrow is eco-responsible, taking into account its environment, urban mobility, the sustainability of materials and their reuse, as well as technological advances in the construction industry. To build it, every two years now, civil engineering students from IUTs in France and construction professionals come together as part of the Civil Engineering & Sustainable Construction Challenge.

From June 10th to 12th, several teams from each IUT were able to present their thoughts and solutions to the challenge's topics to the event's professionals, partners, and juries at booths, supported by models and educational posters. This was an opportunity for them to compare their skills to the professionals' expectations and showcase their expertise through innovative projects rooted in the sector's environmental challenges. The three days were accompanied by sporting and cultural challenges as well as practical workshops to allow students to unwind and discover themselves outside of competition.

This challenge, which combines competition, collaboration and innovation, concluded with the awards ceremony rewarding the most rigorous and creative teams, marking the end of an event rich in exchanges and perspectives for the construction of tomorrow.
