Nîmes IUT hosts the 9th edition of the Civil Engineering & Sustainable Construction Challenge organized by the civil engineering departments of France's IUTs.

The building of tomorrow is eco-responsible, taking into account its environment, urban mobility, the durability of materials and their re-use, as well as technological advances in the construction industry. To build it, every 2 years now, civil engineering students from France's IUTs and building professionals get together for the Civil Engineering & Sustainable Construction Challenge.

From June 10 to 12, several teams from each IUT were able to present their ideas and solutions to the challenge to professionals, partners and event juries at stands, complete with models and educational posters. This was an opportunity for them to compare their skills with the expectations of professionals, and to showcase their know-how through innovative projects rooted in the sector's environmental challenges. The three days were accompanied by sporting and cultural challenges, as well as practical workshops to allow students to unwind and discover themselves outside the competition.

The challenge, a blend of competition, collaboration and innovation, concluded with a prize-giving ceremony rewarding the most rigorous and creative teams, marking the end of an event rich in exchanges and prospects for tomorrow's construction.
