UM rolls out its range of training courses
UM had a colorful booth at the higher education fair, organized from January 15 to 17, 2026, by L'Étudiant at the exhibition center. Despite inclement weather, high school students, parents, and college students turned out in force, confirming the importance of this annual event in the college admissions process.

At the heart of this dynamic, the University of Montpellier, with its 657 national and institutional degrees, has cemented its position as a major player in higher education in the region. With a stand covering more than 300 m², it offered a completely new layout, characterized by a more open, colorful, and airy design than in previous editions, encouraging visitor flow and quality exchanges.

Designed primarily as a welcoming space, the University of Montpellier stand showcased the diversity of its departments, courses, and programs. In a deliberately minimalist setting, visitors were able to gather information, engage in dialogue, and refine their career plans in an environment conducive to discussion and decision-making.

At the fair, the L’Étudiant group ranked Montpellier as the second most livable city for students, just behind Toulouse. This recognition highlights the city's appeal and the collective commitment of its higher education stakeholders, among which UM plays a central role, both in terms of its educational offerings and its regional roots.

The higher education fair is therefore a key stage in the orientation process and paves the way for a highlight: the University of Montpellier's open house, scheduled for February 14. On this occasion, all UM departments will welcome the public to their campuses, offering prospective students and their families the opportunity to continue discussions, discover the facilities, and compare their plans with the reality of university life.
