Festive and integration events
The University of Montpellier is above all a place where every student should feel safe, free to be themselves, and free to express themselves. However, certain rules and behaviors must be respected in order to maintain a peaceful environment.
Committed to fighting all forms of violence, discrimination, and harassment, the UM encourages community involvement while emphasizing the importance of responsibility, respect, and tolerance.
In order to remind students of the rules of good conduct and ensure responsible partying, the university provides several tools for the student community and associations. Various preventive measures are carried out within the university, aimed at students and association members, such as training on gender-based and sexual violence and discrimination.

Hazing is a crime that involves forcing someone to undergo or commit humiliating or degrading acts. It is punishable by six months' imprisonment and a fine of €7,500. Witness or victim of hazing: contact us (testimonies and requests are treated with complete confidentiality). Event organizers, contact the student life department.
The Charter for Festive and Integration Events
What is it?
