Festive and social events

The University of Montpellier is, above all, a place where every student should feel safe, free to be themselves, and free to express themselves. However, certain rules and standards of conduct must be followed to maintain a peaceful environment.

Committed to combating all forms of violence, discrimination, and harassment,UM community involvement while emphasizing the importance of responsibility, respect, and tolerance.

To remind everyone of the rules of good conduct and ensure responsible partying, the university provides several resources for the student community and student organizations. Various prevention initiatives are carried out on campus for students and student organization members, such as training sessions on gender-based and sexual violence and on discrimination.

Hazing is a criminal offense that involves forcing a person to undergo or commit humiliating or degrading acts. It is punishable by up to 6 months in prison and a fine of €7,500. If you are a witness or victim of hazing: contact us (reports and requests are handled in strict confidence). Event organizers, contact the Student Life Office.
