Presentation

The Student Chapter Montpellier is an association of students and alumni of the Geology of Exploration and Reservoirs (GER) master's program at the University of Montpellier. The association is affiliated with theAmerican Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), whose mission is to unite professionals in the petroleum sector, and more generally in the Oil & Gas sector.
The members of Student Chapter Montpellier have set themselves the mission of promoting geology to the general public and maintaining strong links with georesources professionals! The association's flagship activity is the organization of an annual trip that enables them to meet the economic players in geology, visit natural objects and exchange skills to better understand the industrial sector. In addition, their Lien Intergénérationnel des Géologues project is particularly close to their hearts. Thanks to LIG, they organize geoscience discovery activities for middle and high school students, with the support of former geologists from CERGA (Centre pour l'Enseignement et la Research en Géosciences et Applications).
