The association's activities and objectives
The Syndicat des Internes du Languedoc-Roussillon (SILR) is an association created in 2005 to defend the rights of medical interns in all specialties in the Montpellier-Nîmes subdivision.
Its missions fall into 4 main categories:
- organizing the choice of internships: hard work involving our management assistants and dozens of different contacts to ensure the best possible match with interns' expectations and needs.
- regular exchanges with the Faculty of Medicine, the Department of General Medicine, hospital teaching units and the ARS, to guarantee satisfactory training and quality of life throughout the subdivision.
- union watch, i.e. negotiating and taking legal action to defend internal rights.
- And last but not least, the organization of events to bring the students together, sports and cultural activities, and evenings to unwind after a long day or week of training!
