Association of Retired Faculty and Staff of the University of Montpellier (ARUM)
Activities and objectives of the association
Maintain ties between alumni of the University of Montpellier and the University itself, through regular friendly gatherings and the organization of scientific, cultural, sporting, and leisure activities, in a convivial atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
Organization of activities during the academic year:
- library and literary café,
- software and mapping workshop,
- digital photography workshop,
- day hikes of varying difficulty (1 to 2 per week),
- cultural walks and site visits,
- lectures (a series of 6 per year from October to April),
- holidays (4/year),
- hiking trips (2 to 3 per year, lasting 4 to 7 days),
- guided museum tours,
- travel in France or abroad.
A newsletter is distributed at the beginning of each term to communicate information about the association, and a monthly calendar provides a reminder of the month's activities. All this information can be found on our website.
