Association of Tutors in Law and Political Science

Activities and Objectives of the Association

The Association of Law and Political Science Tutors, a nonprofit organization under the French Law of 1901, aims to organize and develop tutoring within the Law and Political Science Department. Based on student-to-student support, this tutoring program offers free assistance to students in the department, organized into small groups of about ten people, meeting weekly and covering a variety of subjects.

Our mission:

  • Support:
    • Private Law (Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior Years) – Family Law, Introduction to Law, Property Law, Law of Obligations, Law of Special Contracts, Corporate Law, Criminal Law, Tax Law, Labor Law
    • Public Law (Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior Years) – constitutional law, administrative law, European institutions, public finance, European Union law, civil service law, administrative property law, administrative litigation law, the legal framework and theory of fundamental freedoms
    • History of Law (Freshman Year)
    • Political Science (Freshman Year) – French politics and an introduction to political sociology
    • Languages (L1, L2, L3, M1, M2, IEJ exams, IPAG entrance exams) – English, Spanish
    • ERASMUS students – all levels, all subjects
    • Students with disabilities (as needed, in the form of personalized support)
  • Supporting students as they settle into the college (orientation materials, mentoring, etc.)
  • Supporting students with their career planning and the application process for the first year of a master’s program (workshops on resumes and cover letters, mock interviews, etc.)
  • Increasing the visibility of tutoring
  • Regular communication among tutors to ensure increasingly effective support for students
  • Organization of a free back-to-school workshop
  • Building momentum around tutoring by organizing regular events and gatherings
