Polytech Student Union
Activities and Objectives of the Association
As a key player in student life at Polytech Montpellier, the Student Union (BDE) consists of:
- A sports office (BDS Polytech Montpellier) that oversees all of the school’s sports activities and organizes major intercollegiate competitions.
- An Arts Office (BDA Polytech Montpellier) comprising music, dance, theater, photography, and other clubs.
- In the area of sustainable development, students can join Polyearth, a club dedicated to raising awareness about the ecological and energy transition, responsible food choices, the circular economy, and social and civic change.
Non-exhaustive list of active BDA clubs: Polyrole (role-playing), Polybeats (DJing), Ludotech (board games), Musitech (music group), Polymove (dance), Polypix (photography), Polycook (cooking), Japantech (Japanese culture), Polybière (craft beer brewing), Dramatech (theater), etc.
Non-exhaustive list of sports activities offered by the BDS: cheerleading, soccer, basketball, boxing, tennis, hiking, handball, volleyball, track and field, running, etc.
Throughout the year, the Student Union:
- Offers extracurricular activities to engineering students and association members.
- Fosters a sense of community among engineering students and faculty at the school.
- Represents engineering students at the University of Montpellier.
- Highlights the BNEI (National Association of Engineering Students) and the BREI Languedoc-Roussillon (Regional Association of Engineering Students) to enable students to benefit from the strength of the engineering student network.
