Med’ley Montpellier Association
Who are we?
Med'ley is the music association for health students. It brings together students studying medicine, pharmacy, midwifery, dentistry, and physical therapy. Its goals are:
- to enrich cultural life within health faculties by organizing musical evenings and events: blind tests, theme nights, musical jams, concerts, etc.;
- to enable the creation of new charitable events within health faculties (charity concert at the Jardin des Plantes, concerts in pediatric wards, etc.);
- to perform on stage, which boosts self-confidence and oral fluency, essential qualities in the students' chosen professions.
Our premises
Med'ley has a rehearsal room located in the historic building of the Faculty of Medicine. Members are free to come and rehearse for events, learn an instrument with Med'ley tutors, or simply enjoy a friendly moment among musicians. Because this room is used regularly, the partners displayed there benefit from visibility among all members of the association.
Our events
- Karaoke and Blind Test Nights
In order to offer its members an ever-increasing variety of events, Med'ley is pleased to organize musical evenings in different formats, such as karaoke and blind tests, which will delight all students and allow them to relax and have fun with music! - Concerts in Montpellier bars
We organized our very first concert in the summer of 2018 at Le Clandestin. Since then, venues with stages have welcomed member musicians for occasional musical evenings, often followed by open jam sessions. This is an opportunity for students from various disciplines, musicians or not, to get together in a less formal setting than the university and thus promote student life. - Hospital concert
We are also committed to sharing music with everyone. To this end, we work closely with Montpellier University Hospital to organize concerts at the hospital. - Med’ley Music Awards
For the past five years, we have also been organizing our big student singing competition, where passion and professionalism combine to create an evening of discovery for the talents of tomorrow! - Charity concert at the Jardin des Plantes in Montpellier
Every year, Med'ley organizes its end-of-year charity concert. We have been working for four years with students from Montpellier and the association "RIRE" to offer this evening rich in emotion and music!
At the School of Pharmacy
Med'ley was present at the start of this year's academic year to provide musical entertainment during the lunch break.
Our association was also present at last year's PharmaHuma lottery, providing entertainment during the intermission and offering a musical break in a friendly atmosphere! And, in collaboration with PharmaHuma, Med'ley provided entertainment for the lottery at the Ehpad, a gentle tribute to our elders through music and culture.

- Discounted rates with local businesses: We partner with several local businesses, including instrument and food retailers!
- Access to free cultural events: We also offer tickets to certain musical and cultural events such as operas, concerts, etc.
- Benefits and Previews: Certain previews of major concerts throughout France are available to our members thanks to their membership.
