Student living spaces
In addition to the student facilities available in each faculty, school, and institute, two student centers (MDE) and the (S)pace, located on the Richter and Triolet campuses, provide students with access to cultural, sporting, and club activities.
MDE Aimé Schoenig (Richter website)

Inaugurated in December 2006, the Aimé Schoenig Medical Education Center is located on the Richter campus south of Montpellier. It is named in honor of Aimé Schoenig, a medical student who died heroically in 1944.
The Aimé Schoenig Student Union Building is home to other student life facilities:
- The University Physical and Sports Activities Service (SUAPS),
- The Joint Service for Preventive Medicine and Health Promotion (SCMPPS).
Spaces at your disposal
- A performance hall with a capacity of 250 seats;
- An exhibition hall with a piano available for use;
- A music room and a recording studio;
- A modular meeting room;
- A gym and a dance studio;
The Richter MDE also houses a branch of the preventive medicine service and the office of the CROUS social services assistant.
Hosting a variety of activities accessible to all
- Free movie screenings twice a month on Wednesdays;
- Concerts, theatrical performances, conferences, etc.;
- Workshops (sewing, public speaking, etc.);
- Food distributions;
- Etc.
Reservation request
To reserve an individual room, a group room, or the recording studio, you can send your request by email. Please specify your requirements (type of room, desired time slot, number of people) to facilitate the booking process.
MDE Françoise Barré-Sinoussi (Triolet site)

Opened in February 1998, this MDE is located on the Triolet Campus.
It is named after Françoise Barré-Sinoussi, a French researcher famous for her discovery of the retrovirus responsible for AIDS, HIV, in 1983. This major breakthrough in understanding the virus earned her the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 2008.
Screenings, concerts, exhibitions, and conferences are organized by student associations throughout the academic year at the MDE Françoise Barré-Sinoussi. It is a lively meeting place that is also open to UM staff. These spaces can be reserved or rented.

- A fully equipped multipurpose room.

- Concerts, theatrical performances, shows, conferences, film screenings (every month), debates;
- Community events;
- Workshops organized by the student life department and student associations (sewing workshop, theater (Taust), orchestra (Osem), etc.);
- Board games and role-playing games with the Licornes association;
- A foosball table available for anyone to use to unwind between classes;
- Food distributions;
- Etc.

To reserve one of the MDE spaces, send your request by email. To facilitate the management of reservations, please specify your requirements (desired space and time slot, number of people expected).
(S)pace

Located on the Triolet campus, the (S)pace includes a fast food restaurant run by the CROUS. It is a place where you can relax, work, or chat, either indoors or on the terrace. It hosts workshops, exhibitions, and events.
The first floor houses part of the student services department (including the Social and Family Economics Advisor), the Student Life Office, the CROUS social workers' office, the Local Mission office, and the student association offices.
