Who are we? Med'ley is the music association for health sciences students. It brings together students of medicine, pharmacy, midwifery, dentistry, and physical therapy. Its mission is: to enrich cultural life within the health sciences faculties by organizing musical events and parties, such as blind tests, theme nights, jam sessions, and concerts... ; to facilitate the creation of new charitable events within the health faculties (charity concert at the Jardin des Plantes, concerts in pediatric wards, etc.); to perform on stage, which builds self-confidence and public speaking skills—essential qualities for the students’ future careers. Our Facilities Med’ley has a rehearsal room located in the Historic Building of the Faculty of Medicine. Members are free to come here to rehearse for events, learn an instrument with Med’ley tutors, or simply enjoy a friendly get-together with fellow musicians. Because this room is used regularly, partners whose posters are displayed there benefit from visibility among all members of the association. Our Events Karaoke and Blind Test NightsTo offer its members an ever-increasing variety of events, Med’ley is pleased to organize musical evenings in different formats, such as karaoke or blind tests, which will delight all students and allow them to relax and have fun with music! Concerts in Montpellier BarsWe organized our very first concert in the summer of 2018 at Le Clandestin. Since that first event, venues with a stage have welcomed our member musicians for occasional music nights, often followed by an open jam session. This is an opportunity for students from various fields of study—musicians or not—to come together in a less formal setting than the university, thereby fostering student life. Concert at the HospitalIt is also important to us to share music with everyone. To that end, we work closely with the Montpellier University Hospital to organize concerts at the hospital. Med'ley Music AwardsFor the past five years, we have also been organizing our major student singing competition, where passion and professionalism come together to create an evening dedicated to discovering the talents of tomorrow! Charity Concert at the Jardin des Plantes in MontpellierEvery year, Med'ley organizes its end-of-year charity concert. For the past four years, we have been working with students in Montpellier and the "RIRE" association to bring you this evening filled with emotion and music!! At the School of Pharmacy Med'ley was present at the start of the academic year to liven up the lunch break with music.Our association was also present at the PharmaHuma bingo event last year, providing entertainment during the intermission and offering a musical break in a friendly atmosphere! And in continued collaboration with PharmaHuma, Med'ley hosted the bingo event at the nursing home, a gentle tribute to our seniors filled with musical culture. Activities and Objectives of the Association Orthofaso is a nonprofit organization established in 2006 under the French Law of 1901, dedicated to promoting and managing speech-language pathology intervention projects. The team, composed of 14 speech-language pathology students, previously worked with children and adolescents with multiple disabilities living in an orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. As the health crisis has prompted us to adapt, we are now pursuing two new projects better suited to the current context: an international project, providing remote support to various organizations working in Vietnam as well as the orphanage through donations and the shipment of supplies; a local project, promoting oral language development through preventive initiatives targeting at-risk populations—in collaboration with the APOH.

Activities and Objectives of the Association The Languedoc-Roussillon Interns’ Union (SILR) is an association founded in 2005 dedicated to defending the rights of medical interns in all specialties within the Montpellier-Nîmes region. Its missions fall into four main categories: organizing the selection of residency rotations: a labor-intensive process involving our administrative assistants and dozens of different stakeholders to ensure that we best meet the expectations and needs of residents. Regular communication with the School of Medicine, the Department of General Medicine, hospital teaching centers, and the Regional Health Agency (ARS) to ensure satisfactory training and quality of life throughout the subdivision. Union advocacy, including conducting negotiations and even legal actions to defend residents’ rights. Finally, fostering a vibrant community for residents by organizing team-building events, sports and cultural activities, and social gatherings to unwind after a long day or week of rotations!

Activities and Objectives of the Association Tutorat Santé Nîmes brings together nearly 90 tutors in their second and third years of medical or midwifery school. Its goal is to prepare first-year health sciences students (PASS or LAS) for the first-year placement exams. The association, run by these same students, works closely with the University of Montpellier and the professors who develop the questions for these entrance exams into health studies. Holding the Ministerial Accreditation for Tutoring Programs from the Ministry of Higher Education and Research M.E.S.R.I.) since 2010, Tutorat Santé Nîmes offers both academic and emotional support services—ALL FREE and of high quality—to ensure equal opportunities for all students.

Its activities focus on two main areas: Managing equipment orders and covering their costs for dental surgery students (220,000 euros per year).Organizing cultural and entertainment events for dental students (ski trips, Gala, National Congress of Dental Surgery Students). Activities and Objectives of the Association The AAEPM organizes initiatives to make daily life easier for pharmacy students and to foster a vibrant student community. The association manages a copy service and the Pharmacy Department’s cafeteria.  It also organizes a career fair to help students navigate their professional paths. To energize campus life, the AAEPM offers students various events: Ski Pharma, a week-long ski trip organized for 250 students each year; social gatherings; and the School of Pharmacy Gala. The association also serves to represent students both locally, through various councils in direct contact with student representatives, and nationally through the ANEPF (National Association of Pharmacy Students of France), of which it is one of 24 board members. Activities and Objectives of the Association This association brings together students from various academic programs (the Professional Bachelor’s Degree in Cosmetics and the Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Health Products, specializing in Aging and Anti-Aging Strategies). The association enables them to participate in competitions (U’Cosmetics), attend trade shows and conferences, and subsequently expand their professional network. The association’s objective is to promote the programs and students so that they can gain advantages for their entry into the workforce.

Alumn’IAE is the alumni association of IAE Montpellier. But that’s not all! Its main goal is to foster a sense of community and solidarity among the institute’s students and alumni by promoting dialogue, the sharing of experiences, and connections with the professional world. Missions: Facilitate a network of students, alumni, and companies; Support career transition; Promote the exchange of ideas; Actively participate in the life of IAE Montpellier. Activities and Objectives of the Association The IAE Montpellier Student Union organizes several events and offers a range of services. We participate in one-off events such as the Orientation Day organized by the IAE. We also organize events such as parties, breakfasts, and the Gala. To promote the #IAESpirit, we also participate in the IAE French Cup (CDF) to proudly represent Montpellier. And almost every day, we’re at the Bulle to answer your questions or grab a coffee.

Activities and Objectives of the Association For over 18 years, GNAUM has offered its members a wide range of activities designed to foster discovery and raise awareness about environmental conservation and biodiversity through: weekly lectures on a variety of topics (animal emotions, trees and buds, the collapse…); scientific projects, conducted with our partners (Jardin des Plantes, CEFE, Marbec, etc.) and including beehive management and monitoring of great tits; workshops, inventories, and field trips led by our eight nature groups, inviting you to explore the Montpellier area.

The association contributes to student life by organizing a variety of events. These include social events, charitable projects, scientific conferences supported by its new science division, as well as more recreational activities such as sports tournaments. All of this helps students integrate not only within their academic programs but also within their graduating classes. To ensure personalized, human-centered support, mentoring is a key tool. This system strengthens the support provided to students throughout the year.

Activities and Objectives of the Association The missions of the non-profit association La ParenThèse are: to combat student dropout rates and isolation during the process of writing academic papers (master’s theses, doctoral dissertations); to help students graduate more quickly; to enhance their employability, particularly by creating an interdisciplinary socio-professional network during the writing process. To achieve this, team members organize three types of events that bring together between 10 and 15 student participants (in-person) and approximately 40 students (online). These events are linked to a scientific production process: writing events (writing days, writing retreats, and mini-ParenThèses); support and exchange events (Plume Doc workshops, Master Classes); relaxation events (AfterThèse days in the great outdoors).

Activities and Objectives of the Association Founded in 2017, the GEEARS association (Group for Electronics, Electrical Engineering, and Automation in Robotics and Space) aims to provide students at the University of Montpellier with access to facilities and tools that enable them to carry out projects. Our objectives: To introduce students to the world of electronics, robotics, and space technology. To give students the opportunity to apply their knowledge to real-world projects. Design and carry out projects from start to finish related to electronics, robotics, and/or space. Propose and support group or personal projects. Welcome and introduce students from diverse backgrounds—such as mechanical engineering, biology, computer science, and environmental studies—to electronics and embedded system programming.

Activities and Objectives of the Association Founded in 2006 by a group of students convinced of the fundamental role each and every person plays in society, Ouvre-Tête is committed to empowering everyone to shape the future they desire. Today, the association brings together people from diverse backgrounds: students from all universities, employees, recipients of income support, volunteers… Far from any dogma, we aim to get minds thinking. Let information flow, and let reflection take place. Opening minds means, above all, enabling people to meet and exchange ideas so that everyone can form their own opinions. It means fighting against indifference and resignation. To this end, our main areas of action are raising awareness around social and environmental issues. We try to approach these issues from different perspectives: scientific, sociological, political, educational… Through practical actions, we also advocate for certain values such as empowerment, non-commercial or solidarity-based exchange, and the promotion of agriculture that respects nature…
