Activities and Objectives of the Association The Association of Pharmacy Tutors supports PASS and LAS students to help them prepare as effectively as possible for their exams. Membership in the ATP is free, and all the content offered is identical to that provided by the Montpellier Health Tutors Association and the Nîmes Health Tutoring Association. Association of Speech-Language Pathology Students (DIS-LALIE)

Activities and Objectives of the Association Dislalie, the association for speech-language pathology students in Montpellier, was founded in 1998. It is run by an executive board of 19 members and by all the students who join the association. Being a member of Dislalie means fully participating in student life and enjoying numerous benefits and events. Dislalie offers a wide range of services and activities: cultural events, social gatherings, tips for everyday life, and advice on studying abroad. But Dislalie also supports speech-language pathology students as they enter the workforce, through a supply ordering service, job postings regularly updated on the website, and discounted rates through our partners. With the aim of promoting sports, it provides them with sports facilities and equipment and organizes intercollegiate competitions. Montpellier Association of Orthoptics Students (AMEO)

Activities and Objectives of the Association AMEO is a student association founded in 2008 to represent students in the orthoptics program. The association aims to raise awareness of the program among various audiences. For this reason, AMEO participates in a variety of events, such as student fairs and university open houses. It collaborates with other associations on events related to Prevention, Citizenship, and Solidarity, including the Valentin Haüy Association. Furthermore, it is actively involved in the development and improvement of the orthoptics program and the orthoptist profession itself, with the goal of better informing students. This year, it has implemented a mentoring program to assist first-year students, given the unique challenges they face during their first year of higher education. To this end, the AMEO is a member of the FFEO (French Federation of Orthoptics Students) as well as the AGEM. AMEO is committed to ensuring that students at the school enjoy their years of study and their student life, and fosters cohesion among the different class years by organizing, for example, a team-building weekend, festive events, a Secret Santa, and AMEO-branded merchandise.

Louis Fine and Daisy Bel (BDE Audio Montpellier – Agea Mtp)

Activities and Objectives of the Association Louis Fine & Daisy Bel is the student association representing all hearing aid technology students in Montpellier, from first-year students through to those in the Master’s program in Sensory and Motor Neuroprosthetics. It works to foster a sense of unity among students across different cohorts and, through its various initiatives that promote student solidarity, contributes to their academic success. Our initiatives: organizing tutoring sessions for first- and second-year students; hosting events (mentoring night, gala, graduation cocktail party, post-exam parties); purchasing supplies for second-year students; connecting students with various partners in the hearing aid field (companies, nursing homes, etc.); organizing hearing health awareness days; selling sweatshirts featuring the Montpellier School of Audiology logo. Montpellier Association of Midwifery Students (AMESF)

Activities and Objectives of the Association The Montpellier Association of Midwifery Students (AMESF) aims to support all midwifery students in the Department of Midwifery in Montpellier throughout their five years of study. This support includes academic assistance, notably through informational booklets distributed at the start of the year for L2, L3, M1, and M2 cohorts, the provision of printed course materials, the compilation of past exam papers, and the purchase of internship supplies at reduced prices. The association is also committed to advocating for and representing midwifery students, whether at the local level through the AGEM (General Association of Montpellier Students) or at the national level through the ANESF (National Association of Midwifery Students). AMESF also addresses civic and solidarity issues, which is why it participates in events such as Pink October, the Telethon, Sidaction, the Teddy Bear Hospital, and Montpellier Reine, among others. This year, it is once again organizing a concert to benefit the “Naître en Rose” association. The association offers two services to its members: SOS Nounou, which connects midwifery students with parents seeking childcare; the sale of fruit and vegetable baskets from a local producer. Finally, it offers activities that are both fun and unifying, such as wellness workshops, inter-class meals, and the traditional end-of-year gala. Despite the current health crisis, it strives to stay in touch with its members as much as possible through social media and by organizing remote events (a virtual library for group study sessions, game workshops, workshops for exchanging and sharing internship experiences, book sharing, sophrology, yoga, and awareness-raising through Facebook and Instagram posts, among others).

Nîmes Midwifery Students' Association (BDESFN)

Activities and Objectives of the Association Since 2001, the BDESFN association has brought together midwifery students from various graduating classes. The executive board has organized several student-focused events (orientation weekends, parties, galas) as well as prevention initiatives (AIDS awareness campaigns, humanitarian projects in developing countries). The BDESFN’s objectives are: to represent and defend the material and moral interests of midwifery students at both the local and national levels; to organize student events of all kinds (parties, Midwife Gala, Women’s Day); to implement prevention initiatives and/or participate in humanitarian efforts both locally and internationally (Sidaction); to facilitate students’ integration into the midwifery school and student life. Activities and Objectives of the Association The Corpo des Carabins Crocodiles association acts as an intermediary between students, faculty, and the administration with the aim of defending students’ interests at the university and national levels. It is responsible for distributing various academic and administrative publications. Activities and Objectives of the Association Founded in 2007, “Crocos du monde” is an association of health sciences students at the Nîmes Faculty of Medicine. Its goal is to enable students to get involved in humanitarian work, each in their own way, and to raise awareness of global inequalities. Locally, the association participates in initiatives with the Nîmes Red Cross: outreach patrols; activities in nursing homes; Restos du Cœur: food drives; awareness campaigns at the Faculty of Medicine. The association also carries out international solidarity projects focused on health and education, made possible by fundraisers held throughout the academic year. Numerous initiatives have already been carried out, with projects implemented in several countries such as Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Morocco, Togo, and this year, Benin. Committed to the environment, the association is dedicated to sustainable development: a partnership with the company “Dans ma Culotte” for the sale of period underwear, and with the recycling center at the Nîmes University Hospital, raising student awareness about ecology.

Med’ley Montpellier Association

Who are we? Med'ley is the music association for health sciences students. It brings together students of medicine, pharmacy, midwifery, dentistry, and physical therapy. Its goals are: to enrich cultural life within the health sciences faculties by organizing musical events and parties, such as blind tests, theme nights, jam sessions, and concerts... ; to facilitate the creation of new charitable events within the health faculties (charity concert at the Jardin des Plantes, concerts in pediatric wards, etc.); to perform on stage, which builds self-confidence and public speaking skills—essential qualities for the students’ future careers. Our Facilities Med’ley has a rehearsal room located in the Historic Building of the Faculty of Medicine. Members are free to come here to rehearse for events, learn an instrument with Med’ley tutors, or simply enjoy a friendly get-together with fellow musicians. Because this room is used regularly, partners whose posters are displayed there benefit from visibility among all members of the association. Our Events Karaoke and Blind Test NightsTo offer its members an ever-increasing variety of events, Med’ley is pleased to organize musical evenings in different formats, such as karaoke or blind tests, which will delight all students and allow them to relax and have fun with music! Concerts in Montpellier BarsWe organized our very first concert in the summer of 2018 at Le Clandestin. Since that first event, venues with a stage have welcomed our member musicians for occasional music nights, often followed by an open jam session. This is an opportunity for students from various fields—musicians or not—to come together in a less formal setting than the university, thereby fostering student life. Concert at the HospitalIt is also important to us to share music with everyone. To that end, we work closely with the Montpellier University Hospital to organize concerts at the hospital. Med'ley Music AwardsFor the past five years, we have also been organizing our major student singing competition, where passion and professionalism come together to create an evening dedicated to discovering the talents of tomorrow! Charity Concert at the Jardin des Plantes in MontpellierEvery year, Med'ley organizes its end-of-year charity concert. For the past four years, we have been working with students in Montpellier and the "RIRE" association to put on this evening rich in emotion and music!! At the School of Pharmacy Med'ley was present at the start of the school year to liven up the lunch break with music.Our association was also present at the PharmaHuma bingo event last year, providing entertainment during the intermission and offering a musical break in a friendly atmosphere! And in continued collaboration with PharmaHuma, Med'ley hosted the bingo event at the nursing home, a gentle tribute to our elders filled with musical culture. OrthoFaso

Activities and Objectives of the Association Orthofaso is a nonprofit organization established in 2006 under the French Law of 1901, dedicated to promoting and managing speech-language pathology intervention projects. The team, composed of 14 speech-language pathology students, previously provided services to children and adolescents with multiple disabilities living in an orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. As the health crisis has prompted us to adapt, we are now pursuing two new projects better suited to the current context: an international project, providing remote support to various organizations working in Vietnam as well as the orphanage through donations and the shipment of supplies; a local project, promoting oral language development through preventive initiatives targeting at-risk populations—in collaboration with the APOH.

Languedoc-Roussillon Resident Physicians' Union (SILR)

Activities and Objectives of the Association The Languedoc-Roussillon Interns’ Union (SILR) is an association founded in 2005 dedicated to defending the rights of medical interns in all specialties within the Montpellier-Nîmes region. Its missions fall into four main categories: organizing the selection of residency rotations: a labor-intensive process involving our administrative assistants and dozens of different stakeholders to ensure that rotations best align with residents’ expectations and needs. Regular communication with the Faculty of Medicine, the Department of General Medicine, hospital teaching centers, and the Regional Health Agency (ARS) to ensure satisfactory training and quality of life throughout the region. Union advocacy, namely conducting negotiations and even legal actions to defend residents’ rights. Finally, fostering a vibrant community for residents by organizing team-building events, sports and cultural activities, and social gatherings to unwind after a long day or week of rotations!

Nîmes Health Tutoring (TSN)

Activities and Objectives of the Association Le Tutorat Santé Nîmes brings together nearly 90 tutors in their second and third years of medical or midwifery school. Its goal is to prepare first-year health sciences students (PASS or LAS) for their first-year qualifying exams. The association, run by these same students, works closely with the University of Montpellier and the professors who develop the questions for these entrance exams into health studies. Holding the Ministerial Accreditation for Tutoring Programs from the Ministry of Higher Education and Research M.E.S.R.I.) since 2010, Tutorat Santé Nîmes offers both educational and emotional support services—ALL FREE and of high quality—to ensure equal opportunities for all students.

Montpellier Dental Students' Association (CECDM)
