Emergencies – instructions in case of accident or illness

Step 1: Dial 15 (emergency medical services) or 18 (fire department). 114 (emergency number only available in France) allows deaf and hard-of-hearing people to alert emergency services (emergency medical services, fire department, police). IMPORTANT: Provide emergency services with the address of the accident or medical emergency a number where you can be reached the condition of the victim do not hang up first guide emergency responders when they arrive ⚠ If there is a persistent risk, protect the victim and yourself from further accidents. STEP 2: While waiting for emergency services, call a first-aider at your site or your site's security control room. List of first-aiders at your site: refer to the notices displayed at your site. Cardiac discomfort In the event of cardiac discomfort, the University of Montpellier has defibrillators located at various sites. Maps of defibrillators on UM sites Non-serious medical emergencies The 15 emergency number may refer you to the Preventive Medicine Service (SCMPPS) for non-serious medical emergencies. SCMPPS offices on the Montpellier and Nîmes campuses Final step: accident reporting procedure For University of Montpellier staff Any work stoppage related to a work-related accident must be reported to your supervisor within 48 hours. You have 15 days to compile the work-related accident file by following the procedure. Report the accident in the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) register available in each work unit. For students enrolled at the University of Montpellier You have 48 hours to complete your accident report.
