Overview Founded in the 12th century, the Montpellier Faculty of Medicine is the oldest continuously operating medical school in the world. Overview The Faculty of Education is part of the University of Montpellier, building on the legacy of the IUFM while remaining firmly focused on the future. It offers a distinctive range of programs in the fields of Facilitation, Mediation, Teaching, Education, and Training, from the bachelor’s to the master’s level. It organizes the MEEF (Professions in Teaching, Education, and Training) Master’s programs in partnership with the Montpellier Academy’s INSPE (National Higher Institute for Teaching and Education) and prepares students for the National Education competitive examinations. These programs provide students with a solid foundation in economic analysis, quantitative methods, and the social sciences, while developing skills sought after in many sectors. At the Master’s level, two specializations structure the program offerings: Money, Banking, Finance, and Insurance (MBFA), comprising several specialized tracks: actuarial science, banking risks, market risks, financial engineering, and information systems. Economics, featuring numerous tracks covering the major fields of economics: energy economics, environmental economics, development economics, digital economics, public economics, health systems, behavioral economics, governance, and public policy. The programs offered by the Faculty of Economics are distinguished by a strong professional focus (internships, projects, and apprenticeships for several tracks), close ties to research, and excellent career outcomes. Overview The origins of the Montpellier School of Law date back to the 12th century, when Placentin taught law in Montpellier. Over the centuries, the “University of Law”—which later became the “School of Law” and then the “School of Law and Political Science” in Montpellier—has remained true to its original mission. It has trained generations of legal professionals from all countries and cultures. This is how it has forged its academic reputation, its international standing, and its ambitions in this field.
