These programs provide a solid foundation in economic analysis, quantitative methods, and the social sciences, while developing skills sought after in many sectors. At the Master’s level, two specializations form the core of the program offerings: Money, Banking, Finance, and Insurance (MBFA), comprising several specialized tracks: actuarial science, banking risks, market risks, financial engineering, and information systems. Economics, featuring numerous tracks covering the major fields of economics: energy economics, environmental economics, development economics, digital economics, public economics, health systems, behavioral economics, governance, and public policy. The programs in the Faculty of Economics are distinguished by a strong professional focus (internships, projects, and apprenticeships for several tracks), close ties to research, and excellent career outcomes. Overview The origins of the Montpellier School of Law date back to the 12th century, when Placentin taught law in Montpellier. Over the centuries, the “University of Laws”—which later became the “School of Law” and then the “School of Law and Political Science” in Montpellier—has remained true to its original mission. It has trained generations of legal professionals from all countries and cultures. This is how it has forged its academic reputation, its international standing, and its ambitions in this field.
