Responsibilities:
The DRED is responsible for implementing theUM ’s policy on research and doctoral training, which is politically spearheaded by the Vice President for Research. Its responsibilities include the following:
- Oversee research and doctoral studies to ensure that scientific policy remains consistent
- Oversee the HCERES evaluation campaign: research and doctoral programs
- Oversee and manage the Academic Council’s “ Research ” Committee, its executive board, and the committees within its purview: scientific integrity and mediation
- Coordinate research structures and resources
- Support managers in coordinating research resources
- Overseeing Doctoral Training
- Ensure the coordination and operation of the doctoral programs and the HDR
- Ensure compliance with the ISO 9001 standard for the doctoral program
- Monitor scientific output and participate in the implementation of the open science plan
- Provide support to the HR Department in managing human resources for research
- Support the implementation of the charter on scientific integrity
- Design and implement initiatives to modernize research management
- Co-manage the institution’s “ Research ” information system in partnership with the DSIN
- Addressing Major Societal Challenges
- Ensure the implementation of the Nagoya Protocol within the university’s ABS unit
