Exceptional conference by Vandana Shiva

On the occasion of his visit to France for the release of his new book "The Virtuous Circle co-written with Nicolas Hulot, Without Transition! Occitanie magazine invites, in partnership with Actes Sud and the Salon de l'écologieVandana Shiva for an exceptional conference hosted by the University of Montpellier.
A global icon of the ecological revolution and leader of the anti-globalization movement," describes journalist Lionel Astruc, who also helped write the new book, "Vandana Shiva has based her work on teaching by example. Setting off alone on foot across India in the late 1980s in search of seeds threatened by industry, she returned at the head of a procession of 500,000 demonstrators - farmers and activists - and a network of 120 seed banks. Her initiatives have pollinated all five continents, and her court cases against the multinationals have won her numerous awards, including the alternative Nobel Prize. Draped in her eternal hand-crafted cotton sari, she urges each and every one of us to become the "little nothing" who will reverse the trend.
With a doctorate in quantum physics and philosophy, she's aptly named after the god Shiva, known as much for his fighting spirit as for his ability to protect life.
