Comic Books for Better Care
This event has already taken place!
First gathering of patient-comic book authors at the Montpellier School of Medicine
Three comic book creators—Alice Baguet, Olivia Hagimont, and Matthieu Blanchin—agreed to come and engage in discussions and lead workshops with students at the University of Montpellier at the invitation of narrative medicine instructors from the School of Medicine and other faculty members who regularly use comic books as teaching tools.

Each of the three guests has published a comic book that draws on their personal healthcare journeys and their relationship with medicine—for different health issues, yet with certain shared experiences—that offers a universal perspective on the caregiver-care recipient relationship.
On Friday, June 13, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., come meet Alice Baguet, Olivia Hagimont, and Matthieu Blanchin for book signings and discussions at the booths run by healthcare students, university libraries, and a bookstore representative who will be on hand all day.
To wrap up the day, a public debate will be held in the late afternoon in the anatomy lecture hall of the Faculty of Medicine’s historic building.
