If ever there was a day to listen to your heart, it's September 29.

Cardiovascular disease continues to be a public health scourge, representing the leading cause of death worldwide1 and the second in France2. In honor of World Heart Day, the cardiology department of the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire (CHU) de Montpellier, associations and patients have decided to mobilize this year to raise awareness in the city of Montpellier of cardiovascular pathologies, the care of cardiac patients and clinical research in cardiology.

On Friday, September 29 at in Montpellier's Place du Nombre d'Or, dozens of healthcare professionals will gather for this event. Cardiologists, interns, externs, nurses, nursing assistants, midwives, pharmacists, tobaccologists, psychologists, physiotherapists, clinical research associates, associations and patients will all be united around a common goal: to speak from the heart.

The public is invited to meet them at their dedicated stand. The event will feature transparent and informative discussions, screening workshops, one-to-one interviews and a variety of activities. This is a unique opportunity to obtain information, advice and a better understanding of the issues surrounding cardiovascular disease.

Cardiovascular disease affects millions of people in France, sometimes with tragic consequences. Together, we can act to reduce the impact of these pathologies and preserve the health of all.

So join them on Friday September 29 at Place du Nombre d'Or in Montpellier and take part in this exceptional day dedicated to cardiovascular health.
