Healthcare professionals, associations, and patients will gather at 15 booths to share their expertise and experiences.
If there is one day when you should listen to your heart, it is September 29.
Cardiovascular disease continues to be a major public health issue, representing the leading cause of deathworldwide and the second leading cause of death inFrance. In honor of World Heart Day, the cardiology department at Montpellier University Hospital (CHU), various associations, and patients have decided to join forces this year to raise awareness in the city of Montpellier about cardiovascular diseases, the care of cardiac patients, and clinical research in cardiology.
On Friday, September 29, at la Place du Nombre d’Or in Montpellier, dozens of healthcare professionals will gather for this event. Cardiologists, interns, externs, nurses, nursing assistants, midwives, pharmacists, tobacco specialists, psychologists, physical therapists, clinical research assistants, associations, and patients will come together with a common goal: to speak openly and honestly.
The public is invited to meet them at their dedicated booth. The event will feature transparent and informative discussions, screening workshops, individual interviews, and various activities. This is a unique opportunity to learn more, get advice, and better understand the issues related to cardiovascular disease.
Cardiovascular disease affects millions of people in France, sometimes with tragic consequences. This initiative by the cardiology department at Montpellier University Hospital aims to raise awareness among the general public about the importance of prevention, early detection, and appropriate treatment. Together, we can take action to reduce the impact of these diseases and protect everyone's health.
