Corporate financing in a context of crises

The COVID health crisis plunged the economy into a severe recession in 2020, which affected company operations and financial structures.

The latter now face the consequences of a major energy and inflationary crisis.

Against this backdrop, what is the current situation for companies, how is bank financing evolving, and are banks also affected by this series of difficulties?

Speaker, Frédéric Visnovsky

National Credit Mediator at the Banque de France, Frédéric Visnovsky was at the heart of the management of the Covid-19 crisis, notably through the piloting and deployment of a vast plan to accompany and support companies facing financing difficulties with their banks. He chairs the Observatoire du financement des entreprises, which brings together representatives of companies, banks and statistics providers to draw up reports on the situation of companies and their financing.

In parallel with these mandates, Frédéric Visnovsky is also Deputy General Secretary of the French banking regulator, Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution (ACPR), in charge of resolution to prepare banks and insurers for severe crises.
