Corporate financing in a crisis context
The COVID health crisis plunged the economy into a severe recession in 2020, which affected the operations and financial structures of businesses.
The latter are now facing the consequences of a major energy and inflation crisis.
In this context, what is the current situation for businesses, how is bank financing evolving, and are banks also being impacted by this series of difficulties?

Speaker, Frédéric Visnovsky
As National Credit Mediator at the Banque de France, Frédéric Visnovsky has been at the heart of the management of the Covid-19 crisis, notably through the coordination and implementation of a comprehensive plan to assist and support businesses facing financing difficulties with their banks. He chairs the Business Financing Observatory, which brings together representatives of businesses, banks, and statistics providers to produce reports on the situation of businesses and their financing.
In addition to these roles, Frédéric Visnovsky is also Deputy Secretary General of the French Prudential Supervision and Resolution Authority (ACPR), responsible for resolution to prepare banks and insurers to be able to cope with severe crises.
