For its^sixth edition, the University of Montpellier is actively participating in National Education and Action Week Against Racism and Anti-Semitism, which is taking place throughout France from March 20 to 26, 2023. This participation is part of UM's commitment to combating all forms of discrimination and promoting the values that underpin the Republic: liberty, equality, and fraternity.

Spike Lee's film "BlacKkKlansman," in the form of comedy and derision, is an extremely effective denunciation of racism.

Synopsis:

In the early 1970s, at the height of the civil rights struggle, several race riots broke out in major cities across the United States. Ron Stallworth became the first Black officer in the Colorado Springs Police Department, but his arrival was met with skepticism, even outright hostility, from the lower-ranking officers at the station. Summoning his courage, Stallworth set out to change the status quo and, perhaps, make his mark on history. He embarked on a perilous mission: to infiltrate the Ku Klux Klan and expose its abuses.
