Science at UM [S03-ep20]: Coopetition or competition for green innovation?
This week on A l’UM la science, Camille Bildstein and Frédéric Leroy from Montpellier Research in Management, founders of the Coo-innov chair, talk to us about green innovation. In the report, Olivier Ravel introduces us to the Mésocosme platform at Ecotron. A program broadcast on Divergence-FM 93.9.

It is no longer news that every year the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) warns about the challenges associated with climate change and the need to take action to try to control it. More and more countries are committing to carbon neutrality by 2050, including France. While all good intentions are welcome in achieving this goal, nothing will happen without the participation of businesses and the invention of new models. Models of manufacturing, sales, and consumption. In short, a radical change.
Innovating to be more virtuous, more economical, more environmentally friendly—yes, but with whom and how? Because innovation is expensive and therefore represents a risk. Should we take this risk alone, or should we form alliances? If so, with whom?
The Coo-innov chair at the University of Montpellier Foundation attempts to answer all these questions in its latest report entitled Collaborating to meet the challenges of green innovation. To do so, they closely examined the innovation strategies of four companies in four key sectors of green innovation: textiles, energy, agri-food, and aeronautics.
To discuss this with us, we are joined by Camille Bildstein, Development Manager for the Coo-Innov Chair, and Frédéric Leroy, researcher atMontpellier Research in Management and Director of the Chair.
To go further:

- From collaborative innovation to flying carpets, Science has fun 02/25/202.
- Cases from the Coo-innov Chair.
In the second part of the program, we return toEcotron to discover a new Mesocosm platform. Olivier Ravel, technical director of Ecotron, presents the platform's 18 identical and independent experimental units, which enable the measurement of a wide range of environmental scenarios to simulate future climates, but also to reconstruct past climates.

Finally, we will welcome Agnès Pesenti, as the Science Bar is already back, and this time the conference theme is part of Brain Awareness Week.
At UM Science, you have the program, so let's get started!
