Call for Training Projects for 2026 and Educational Leave (CPP)
The University of Montpellier is launching a call for training project proposals for 2026.
This program includes 3 calls for proposals
AAP-PEI (I-SITE Excellence Program)
Focused on the creation, development, and transformation of academic programs and instruction in alignment with the University’s strategy and that of its partners.
OBJECTIVES
Continuing its efforts to promote educational initiatives and innovations, the University of Montpellier and its partners are launching a call for proposals for the 2026 PEI Training Program, which will focus on three key areas:
- Experimentation with and transformation of teaching practices, particularly for cross-UEI initiatives, including in the fields of arts and culture
- Training initiatives focused on emerging topics such as artificial intelligence, those aligned with the I-Site signature (One Health, the environment, etc.), or with the 6i strategy, particularly in preparation for the new 2027–2031 training program.
- The replacement and acquisition of educational equipment and the development of spaces that can be used for training in line with new teaching methods
ELIGIBLE EXPENSES
- Overtime for teachers, research professors, and Professors
- Total payroll required to implement the project
- Operating expenses directly related to project support
- Equipment valued at over 500 euros (excluding tax) in accordance with public procurement regulations (e.g., computers, construction equipment, etc.) related to new teaching methods
- Responsibilities
- Outsourced professional and specialized consulting services
- Acting Training
- Costs associated with communicating, promoting, and disseminating educational innovation
- Initiatives to share and disseminate educational experiences

- The academic staff of the faculties, schools, and institutes within the I-SITE consortium
Project leaders planning initiatives involving digital education or educational transformation should first contact their DSIN or the SCSIP, as appropriate. They may also contact the DFE’s Success Support Office (BARé).
GUIDELINES FOR SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS
Applications must be submitted in PDF format using the attached template. Proposals from teaching teams must be submitted exclusively by the deans of the academic units, schools, or institutes, who will rank them in order of priority and then forward them to
SELECTION PROCEDURES
Resources will be allocated based on five key factors:
- The educational impact, and in particular the relevance of the project in light of the challenges facing the relevant program(s)
- The feasibility of implementing the project
- The project’s impact in terms of visibility, the University’s reputation, and alignment with UM’s strategy
- The proposal’s potential for replication in other programs, departments, etc.
- The respective sizes of the 19 entities involved (faculties, schools, institutes; ENSCM; Institut Agro Montpellier; CIHEAM-IAMM)
Project duration: The project may begin as soon as notification is received in 2026 and must be completed by the end of the 2028 calendar year.
Projects will be evaluated by external experts whenever possible.
Theevaluation committeewill be chaired by the VPFVU and will consist of the Vice President for Digital Technology in Education, the Director of SCSIP and SCSIP experts, experts from DSIN-SUN, a representative from Institut Agro Montpellier, and a representative from ENSCM.

FINANCIAL RESOURCES
The budget allocated to the three areas of this call for proposals is €650,000.

AAP-PROPEDA (UM Institutional Program)
Focused on supporting students’ success, primarily during their first years of study at UM.
Open to UM’s academic departments, schools, and institutes.
OBJECTIVES
Many factors contribute to student success, and several support programs have been established at the University (remedial courses, tutoring, review week, etc.). To strengthen existing initiatives* and test new ones, the University is launching a call for PROPEDA projects aimed specifically at supporting first-year students. The projects will focus on helping students adapt to academic requirements and methodologies—including those specific to their disciplines—as well as boosting their motivation and improving their study skills, among other goals.
*excluding tutoring, which has its own budget

The evaluation committee will be chaired by the VPFVU and will consist of the VP for Digital Education, the director of the SCSIP, experts from the SCSIP, experts from the DSIN, and any invited guests recognized for their expertise in the field of education.

FINANCIAL RESOURCES
The budget allocated to this call for proposals is €200, 000. Selected projects may receive funding during the calendar years 2026 and 2027.

The PédagoN’UM Call for Proposals, “Digital Pedagogy at UM” (formerly the CNUMF Call for Proposals), is organized around seven themes:
- Experimenting with Generative AI for Training
- Development of new advanced digital educational resources
- Digital Technology for Assessment
- Blended learning
- MOOC
- Online or hybrid course in English for the CHARM-EU European Alliance
- Other educational transformation projects using digital technology

Leave for Educational Projects (CPP)
LEAVE FOR EDUCATIONAL PROJECTS (CPP)
The application process for Educational Project Leave (CPP) follows the same timeline as calls for proposals. However, it is separate from calls for proposals and is not contingent on success in a call for proposals. In other words, it is possible to submit a CPP application independently of the outcome of a call for proposals. Success in a call for proposals does not result in the automatic award of a CPP, as the award procedures follow separate processes.
CPP campaign dates: January 26, 2026, to March 9, 2026
