Admission to the Master's Program
Admission to the master’s program is governed by the regulations and implementing decrees issued pursuant to the law of December 23, 2016.
Admission Requirements for 2026–2027
In accordance with the decree of February 20, 2023, a single national platform for applications and admissions to the first year of master’s programs has been established. All applications must be submitted through MonMaster, except in cases and for programs covered by special exemptions provided for by administrative order. For more information, visit MonMaster.gouv.fr
Effective February 17, 2026, if you hold (or are in the process of earning) a national bachelor’s degree or another degree that qualifies you for a master’s program, you must apply through the national platform MonMaster.gouv.fr.
Admission is based on application materials upon entry into the master’s program.
- Review the general criteria for evaluating applications, as well as the enrollment capacity for the first year of the master’s program and the limited enrollment capacity for programs open to the online application process (Mon Master portal), as approved by the University’s Board of Trustees on November 17, 2025.
- Review the administrative criteria for rejecting applications for the first year of the National Master’s Degree for the 2026–2027 academic year: Board of Directors’ Resolution of November 17, 2025: Approval of the mandatory and optional components of the application and recruitment file for the assignment of a ranking or the rejection of “Mon Master” applications.
- Review the general criteria for evaluating applications to the “Teaching and Education” master’s programs, as well as the available spots, limited enrollment capacity, and admission requirements for applicants who did not pass the competitive entrance exam, as approved by the University Board of Trustees on February 2, 2026.

The Mon Master platform displays two “employment rates in France” for each program at 6 and 18 months. These two rates, known as “INSERSUP” rates, exclude graduates working in the self-employed sector, business owners, artisans, or those working abroad. These rates therefore do not reflect the reality of professional integration. Furthermore, some Mon Master programs do not display INSERSUP rates because, since the employment rate in France effectively excludes many graduates who are already employed, the threshold for statistical reliability is no longer met.
Forcompletely reliable informationcoveringall graduates who entered the job market directly without continuing their studies, we recommend visiting the website of the University of Montpellier’s Observatory for Student Monitoring and Career Placement. These employment rates are calculated at 30 months (number of graduates in employment / number of graduates in employment and seeking employment). This data is collected by the OSIPE (Observatory for Student Monitoring and Professional Integration).
