Access to the Master

Access to the Master's degree is regulated by the implementing decrees and orders resulting from the law of December 23, 2016.

Admission procedures 2026-2027

In accordance with the decree of February 20, 2023, a single national platform for applications and recruitment to the first year of a Master's degree program has been set up. All applications must be submitted via MonMaster, except for exceptional situations and courses specified by decree. For further details, visit MonMaster.gouv.fr

From February 17, 2026, if you hold (or are preparing to hold) a national bachelor's degree or another diploma giving access to the master's program, you must apply via the national MonMaster.gouv.fr platform.

Candidates are recruited on the basis of their academic record as soon as they enter the Master's program.

  • Consult the administrative conditions for rejecting applications for the first year of the national master's degree for the 2026-2027 academic year: CFVU deliberation of November 4, 2025: approval of the mandatory and optional elements comprising the application and recruitment file for the allocation of ranking or rejection of "Mon Master" applications.

The Mon Master platform displays two "salaried employment rates in France" for each course at 6 and 18 months. These two rates, known as "INSERSUP" rates, exclude graduates working as self-employed professionals, company directors, craftsmen or working abroad. These rates therefore do not reflect the reality of professional integration. In addition, some Mon Master programs do not show INSERSUP rates, as the rate of salaried employment in France excludes many graduates who are already working, and the statistical reliability threshold is no longer guaranteed.

To obtain perfectly reliable information on all graduates who have entered the job market without continuing their studies, we recommend you consult the Observatoire du Suivi et de l'Insertion Professionnelle des Étudiants de l'Université de Montpellier website. These insertion rates are calculated at 30 months (number of graduates in employment / number of graduates in employment and looking for work). These data are collected by OSIPE (Observatoire du Suivi et de l'Insertion Professionnelle des Étudiants).
