Cultivar: the plant improvement project

CultiVar trains students in plant breeding by introducing them to cutting-edge scientific research. It is a project that mobilizes a dynamic research and teaching community to make plant breeding a discipline with a significant impact.

This project, funded by Agropolis Fondation, aims to ensure that the cutting-edge research conducted by the Agropolis scientific community feeds into new teaching modules in the field of plant breeding. Researchers create training modules directly related to their research topics. Several modules have already been incorporated into the University of Montpellier's master's programs in "Functional Plant Biology" and "Tropical Plant Biotechnology." CultiVar supports several students with living and internship grants to enable them to complete the two-year master's program.

CultiVar: and now the movie!

The project CultiVar of which the University of Montpellier is a partner, has just released a five-minute video clip summarizing its main objectives, achievements, and challenges. The film combines animated images and real photos. It features several students from the University who have benefited from these courses and scholarships.
