The University Innovation Hub at the Sitevi trade show
A major event for the wine, fruit, and olive oil sectors, the International Wine Fair ( SITEVI ) welcomes over 2,000 participants each year. This year, the University of Montpellier's innovation hub was represented within the dedicated space. Research & Innovation alongside its partners from INRAE and the Agro Institute .

Launch of the future Vine & Wine building on the La Gaillarde campus
On this occasion, Philippe Augé, President of the University of Montpellier, participated in the launch of a new building dedicated to training, research, and knowledge transfer in the field of viticulture and winemaking. Located on the Gaillarde campus, the building aims to contribute to the development of the viticulture and winemaking sector by creating a unique and innovative center of excellence. It will house the viticulture and winemaking division of the Agro Institute and the Sciences for Oenology research team ( UMR SPO ), as well as professional partners in the sector. The 6,000 m² building will accommodate 100 scientists, 300 students, and more than 120 professional partners in this facility dedicated to research, training, and innovation.
This innovative project aligns with the major objectives of the university innovation hub, which are to promote the Research partnership and technology transfer. A new opportunity for the territory to "show the prominent place of wine and vines in Montpellier and the region", said Philippe Augé, president of the University of Montpellier at the research & innovation stand of SITEVI.
