A special time to choose your path
This annual event allows high school students, parents, and career guidance professionals to talk with administrators, Professors students from the 17 departments, schools, and institutes of the University of Montpellier, who have worked hard to make this event a success. "I met teachers from STAPS, the Polytech network, and the Faculty of Sciences. The various discussions opened my eyes to other disciplines, such as engineering degrees," explains Quentin. " It was a positive experience, and I now have a much clearer picture. " During these three days, UM professionals also led 16 conferences on health studies at the university, careers in research and innovation, management, economics, technological training for the future (BUT), professional degrees, and many other topics. "I was able to get answers to my questions about the different career opportunities after studying law and politics, but also learn more about how lectures are organized. This will help me make my decision, " says the young woman from Hérault.
The open house on February 11 will be an opportunity to showcase the departments, schools, and institutes that make up UM through various tours: campus, university libraries, and student housing. "I picked up a flyer for the upcoming open house and I'm going to visit the university's law school to get a better idea of what this new project entails," Clara concludes.
