The social FSDIE

The FSDIE social is a program run by the University of Montpellier designed to provide occasional support to students experiencing serious financial hardship or living in precarious circumstances.

Funded in part by the CVEC (student and campus contribution), it is implemented in partnership with the Crous. The aid is awarded, subject to eligibility conditions, after an interview with the Crous social services department and review of the application by a commission. It provides assistance to students in the following areas:

  • Food-related expenses,
  • Housing-related expenses,
  • Travel for an internship or mobility program (in France or abroad),
  • Healthcare costs,
  • Tuition fees (excluding the purchase of computer equipment).
