Interdisciplinary Research Laboratory on Didactics, Education, and Training (LIRDEF)
LIRDEF conducts research in the fields of education and training, focusing on three main areas:
- Education, politics, society;
- Knowledge-Practice-Pedagogy;
- Work, Education, Professions.
These activities focus specifically on teaching and learning processes, the activities of stakeholders in professional contexts, processes of socialization, professionalization, and identity formation, as well as “education for” various purposes, the history of education, and the design of situations with educational objectives.
LIRDEF is currently involved in several research projects funded at the national or international level.
LIRDEF serves as a support laboratory for the ACEF Master’s programs (Analysis and Design in Education and Training, UPVM, UM), DDS (Science Didactics, UM, Univ. Lyon 1, ENS Lyon), and the four specializations within the MEEF (Professions in Teaching, Education, and Training) master’s program ( UM). It also serves as a scientific partner for the Center for Studies, Documentation, and Research in the History of Education at the Faculty of Education in Montpellier.
