Agropolymer Engineering and Emerging Technologies (IATE)
UMR IATE is developing a multidisciplinary scientific approach to the characterization, processing and valorization of renewable agro-resources from the agricultural, forestry and agri-food sectors.
The UMR is particularly interested in the structure and functionalities of biopolymers and biomolecules.
Its multidisciplinary expertise lies at the interface between :
- biochemistry ;
- physico-chemistry ;
- process engineering ;
- biotechnology ;
- chemistry ;
- physics ;
- numerical and computational modeling.
Our research focuses on the complexity of agro-resources, using high-performance analytical methods and the design of original technological itineraries for processing in the fields of agri-food, bio-based materials, biocatalysis and bioenergies.
