Comic books for better healthcare

^First meeting of patients who are comic book authors at the Montpellier Faculty of Medicine

Three comic book authors, Alice Baguet, Olivia Hagimont, and Matthieu Blanchin, agreed to come and talk to and lead workshops with students at the University of Montpellier at the invitation of narrative medicine teachers from the Faculty of Medicine and other teachers who regularly use comic books as a teaching aid.

Each of the three guests has published a comic book that refers to their healthcare journey and their relationship with medicine, covering different health issues but with certain common experiences, and which outlines the universal nature of the caregiver/patient relationship.

On Friday, June 13, 2025, between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m., come meet Alice Baguet, Olivia Hagimont, and Matthieu Blanchin for book signings and discussions at the stands of health students, university libraries, and a bookseller who will be present all day.

To conclude the day, a public debate will take place in the late afternoon in the anatomy amphitheater of the historic Faculty of Medicine building.
