Med'ley Montpellier Association
Who we are
Med'ley is the Montpellier health students' music association. It aims to :
- Enriching cultural life at our University
- Enable students to perform on stage at events organized by the association
- Strengthen links between the various health care sectors to bring future health care professionals together around music.
Our premises
Med'ley has a rehearsal room, located in the Historical Building of the Faculty of Medicine. Members are free to come and rehearse for events, learn an instrument with Med'ley tutorials or simply share a convivial moment with other musicians. The regular use of this room means that the partners who display their work there benefit from visibility among all the association's members.
Our events
- Karaoke and Blind Test evenings
In order to offer more and more varied events to its members, Med'ley is pleased to organize musical evenings in different formats such as karaoke or blind test, which will delight all students and allow them to relax and have fun with music! - Concerts in Montpellier bars
We organized our very first concert in the summer of 2018 at Le Clandestin. Since that premiere, establishments with a stage welcome member musicians for occasional musical evenings, often followed by an open improvisation session. This is an opportunity for students from various disciplines, musicians and non-musicians alike, to get together in a less formal context than that of the university, and thus promote student life. - Hospital concert
We are also keen to share music with everyone. To this end, we are working closely with the Montpellier University Hospital to offer hospital concerts. - Med'ley Music Awards
For the past 5 years, we've also been organizing our major student singing competition, where passion and professionalism combine to create an evening for discovering the talents of tomorrow! - Charity concert at Montpellier's Jardin des Plantes
Every year, Med'ley organizes its end-of-year charity concert. For the past 4 years, we've been working with Montpellier students and the "RIRE" association to offer an evening rich in emotion and music!
At the Faculty of Pharmacy
Med'ley was on hand at this year's back-to-school to provide musical entertainment for the lunch break.
Our association was also present at PharmaHuma's lotto last year, providing musical entertainment for the interval and offering a convivial musical break! And again in collaboration with PharmaHuma, Med'ley hosted the lotto at the Ehpad, a gentle ode to our elders and musical culture.
Partnerships and collaborations
- Reduced rates with local businesses: We partner with several local businesses, including instrument and food retailers!
- Access to free cultural events : We also offer tickets for certain musical and cultural events such as operas, concerts, etc.
- Benefits and Previews: Our members have access to previews of major concerts throughout France, thanks to their membership.
