Content type: Page
Activities and objectives of the association The Montpellier Association of Midwifery Students (AMESF) aims to support all midwifery students in the Department of Midwifery in Montpellier during their five years of study. This support takes the form of academic assistance, in particular through explanatory booklets at the beginning of the year for L2, L3, M1, and M2 students, the provision of course handouts, the compilation of past exam papers, and the purchase of internship equipment at reduced prices. The association is also committed to defending and representing midwifery students, both locally, through the AGEM (General Association of Montpellier Students), and nationally, through the ANESF (National Association of Midwifery Students). The AMESF also addresses issues of citizenship and solidarity, which is why it participates in events such as Octobre Rose, the Telethon, Sidaction, the Teddy Bear Hospital, and Montpellier Reine. This year, it is once again organizing a concert to benefit the association "Naître en Rose." The association offers two services to its members: SOS Nounou, which connects midwifery students with parents looking for childcare, and the sale of fruit and vegetable baskets from a local producer. Finally, it offers activities that are both fun and bring people together, such as wellness workshops, inter-promotion meals, and the traditional end-of-year gala. Despite the current health crisis, it is trying to stay in touch with its members as much as possible via social media and by organizing remote events (virtual study groups for revising together, games workshops, workshops for discussing and sharing internship experiences, book sharing, sophrology, yoga, awareness-raising via Facebook and Instagram posts, etc.).
