Activities and Objectives of the Association The AAEPM organizes initiatives to make daily life easier for pharmacy students and to foster a vibrant student community. The association manages a copy service and the Pharmacy Department’s cafeteria.  It also organizes a career fair to help students navigate their professional paths. To energize campus life, the AAEPM offers students various events: Ski Pharma, a week-long ski trip organized for 250 students each year; social gatherings; and the School of Pharmacy Gala. The association also serves to represent students both locally, through various councils in direct contact with student representatives, and nationally through the ANEPF (National Association of Pharmacy Students of France), of which it is one of 24 board members. Activities and Objectives of the Association Alumn’IAE is the alumni association of IAE Montpellier. Its primary objective is to build a strong and dynamic alumni network that fosters close ties between current and former students. The association operates through a virtual platform, the Alumn’IAE Montpellier website, where members of the network can access: a regularly updated directory of all IAE alumni, which is linked to a resume database; an events calendar; and the latest news from the association and IAE. Companies also have the opportunity to view the profiles of members actively seeking employment and to post job, internship, or work-study opportunities through a recruiter module.

Activities and Objectives of the Association The IAE Montpellier Student Union organizes several events and offers various services. We participate in one-time events such as the Orientation Day organized by the IAE. We also organize events such as parties, breakfasts, and the Gala. To promote the #IAESpirit, we also participate in the IAE French Cup (CDF) to proudly represent Montpellier. And almost every day, we’re at the Bulle to answer your questions or grab a coffee.

Activities and Objectives of the Association ECUME is a choir that offers a unique approach at the intersection of various artistic fields, including theater, poetry, and dance. Here, singers express themselves not only with their voices but also with their bodies. The choir is composed primarily of students and staff from the universities of Montpellier. Everyone has the opportunity to find their place, according to their learning pace and personal experience, by joining Ecume’s choral workshop, choir, or vocal ensemble. Activities and Objectives of the Association Brin de Forêt is an association dedicated to organizing scientific events on current issues in ecology and biodiversity conservation. The association aims to create a network for exchange among researchers, students, and others interested in ecological issues. By bringing together the general public, researchers, professionals, and students, we aim to promote the dissemination of knowledge regarding ecology and humanity’s place within ecosystems through conferences and cultural and educational projects. The association is run by students in the BioGET (Plant Biology and Tropical Ecosystem Management) track of the B2E Master’s program at the University of Montpellier. As part of this initiative, a conference on a current topic related to tropical ecosystems is organized each year. Since 2014, the association has addressed the themes of “Payments for Environmental Services,” “Climate Change and Its Impacts on Tropical Ecosystems,” “Biodiversity Loss,” “Ecological Engineering in the Tropics,” “Ethnobotany: Plants and Humans, Intertwined Destinies in the Tropics,” and “Do Women and Men Have the Same Relationship with Tropical Ecosystems?” This year, the conference will focus on the myth of the virgin forest, accompanied by a reflection on the place of human societies within tropical ecosystems. Activities and Objectives of the Association For over 18 years, GNAUM has offered its members a wide range of activities designed to foster discovery and raise awareness about environmental conservation and biodiversity through: weekly lectures on a variety of topics (animal emotions, trees and buds, the collapse…); scientific projects, carried out with our partners (Jardin des Plantes, CEFE, Marbec, etc.) and including beehive management and monitoring of great tits; workshops, inventories, and field trips led by our eight nature groups, inviting you to explore the Montpellier area.

The association contributes to student life through a variety of events. These include social events, charitable projects, scientific conferences supported by its new science division, as well as more recreational projects such as sports tournaments. All of this contributes to the integration of students within their programs and across graduating classes. To ensure personalized, human-centered support, mentoring is a key tool. This helps strengthen the support provided to students throughout the year.

Generally speaking, this association is run by and for the doctoral students of the CBS2 Doctoral School and is open to any suggestions and partnership proposals for organizing events that are important to you!

Activities and Objectives of the Association The missions of the non-profit association La ParenThèse are: to combat student dropout rates and isolation during the process of writing academic papers (master’s theses, doctoral dissertations); to help students graduate more quickly; to enhance their employability, particularly by creating an interdisciplinary socio-professional network during the writing process. To achieve this, team members organize three types of events that bring together between 10 and 15 student participants (in-person) and approximately 40 students (online). These events are linked to a scientific production process: writing events (writing days, writing retreats, and mini-ParenThèses); support and exchange events (Plume Doc workshops, Master Classes); disconnection events (AfterThèse days in the great outdoors).

Activities and Objectives of the Association Founded in 2017, the GEEARS association (Group for Electronics, Electrical Engineering, and Automation in Robotics and Space) aims to provide students at the University of Montpellier with access to facilities and tools that enable them to carry out projects. Our objectives: To introduce students to the world of electronics, robotics, and space technology. To give students the opportunity to apply their knowledge to real-world projects. To design and carry out projects from start to finish related to electronics, robotics, and/or space. To propose and support association or personal projects. To welcome and introduce students from diverse backgrounds—such as mechanical engineering, biology, computer science, and environmental studies—to electronics and embedded system programming.

Activities and Objectives of the Association Founded in 2006 by a group of students convinced of the fundamental role each and every person plays in society, Ouvre-Tête works every day to empower everyone to shape the future they desire. Today, the association brings together people from diverse backgrounds: students from all universities, employees, recipients of income support, volunteers… Far from any dogma, we aim to get minds moving. Let information flow, and let reflection take place. Opening minds means, above all, enabling people to meet and exchange ideas so that everyone can form their own opinions. It means fighting against indifference and resignation. To this end, our main areas of action are raising awareness around social and environmental issues. We try to approach these issues from different perspectives: scientific, sociological, political, educational… Through practical actions, we also advocate for certain values such as empowerment, non-commercial or solidarity-based exchange, and the promotion of agriculture that respects nature…

Activities and Objectives of the Association Founded in 2015, the Hello World Association aims to provide undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students in computer science, mathematics, and related fields at the University of Montpellier with support, career guidance, professional integration, and social cohesion. Our objectives: tutoring sessions, mock exams, and the creation of booklets containing past exam questions; organizing events (student fairs, conferences, film screenings and discussions, computer workshops, etc.); inter-association projects (social gatherings, happy hours, orientation weekends, fairs, etc.); administrative and financial support for student projects; student representation and mediation.

A meeting (in October) brings members together to form new groups. The association also welcomes established groups. A sense of community is essential to join MUST!

Activities and Objectives of the Association The Ma’LICE Association brings together all chemistry students at the University of Montpellier as well as alumni. A true professional network, the association helps chemists in their search for jobs, internships, or thesis opportunities. Ma’LICE offers the following services to all members: access to past exam papers; an educational resource center; 50 free printouts; and the sale of professional equipment (lab coats, safety goggles, etc.). Membership is free for everyone.

Activities and Goals of the Association Do you play music? Do you enjoy socializing? Come join the Montpellier University Symphony Orchestra! This orchestra consists of about 60 musicians and welcomes students, faculty, researchers, as well as amateur musicians from outside the academic community. The OSUM performs about ten concerts a year, both in the city and throughout the region. The highlight concert of the year takes place in late November at the Opéra Comédie, to benefit La Ligue contre le cancer. The symphony orchestra rehearses every Wednesday from 8:00 PM to 10:30 PM in Lecture Hall 5.06 of the Faculty of Sciences. We are recruiting woodwind and string players; feel free to visit the OSUM website for more information. We will be present at the new student orientation day and at the Antigone student club fair.
