Activities and Objectives of the Association Orthofaso is a nonprofit organization established under the French Law of 1901, founded in 2006, whose purpose is to promote and manage speech-language pathology intervention projects. The team, composed of 14 speech-language pathology students, previously worked with children and adolescents with multiple disabilities living in an orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. As the health crisis has prompted us to adapt, we are now pursuing two new projects better suited to the current context: an international project, providing remote support to various organizations working in Vietnam as well as the orphanage through donations and the shipment of supplies; a local project, promoting oral language development through preventive initiatives targeting at-risk populations—in collaboration with the APOH.

Activities and Objectives of the Association The Languedoc-Roussillon Interns’ Union (SILR) is an association founded in 2005 dedicated to defending the rights of medical interns in all specialties within the Montpellier-Nîmes region. Its missions fall into four main categories: organizing the selection of residency rotations: a labor-intensive process involving our administrative assistants and dozens of different contacts to ensure that the rotations best meet the expectations and needs of residents. Regular communication with the School of Medicine, the Department of General Medicine, hospital teaching centers, and the Regional Health Agency (ARS) to ensure satisfactory training and quality of life throughout the subdivision. Union advocacy, which involves conducting negotiations and even taking legal action to defend residents’ rights. Finally, fostering a vibrant community among residents by organizing team-building events, sports and cultural activities, and social gatherings to unwind after a long day or week of rotations!

Activities and Objectives of the Association Le Tutorat Santé Nîmes brings together nearly 90 tutors in their second and third years of medical or midwifery school. Its goal is to prepare first-year health sciences students (PASS or LAS) for their first-year placement exams. The association, run by these same students, works closely with the University of Montpellier and the professors who develop the questions for these entrance exams into health studies programs. Holding ministerial accreditation for tutoring programs from the Ministry of Higher Education and Research M.E.S.R.I.) since 2010, Tutorat Santé Nîmes offers both educational and emotional support services—ALL FREE and of high quality—to ensure equal opportunities for all students.

Activities and Objectives of the Association The CECDM’s objective is to organize student life within the faculty. Its activities focus on two areas: Managing equipment orders and advancing the costs for dental surgery students (220,000 euros per year).Organizing cultural and recreational events for dental students (ski trip, Gala, National Congress of Dental Students). Activities and Objectives of the Association The AAEPM organizes initiatives to make daily life easier for pharmacy students and to enrich student life. The association manages a copy service and the Pharmacy Department’s cafeteria.  It also organizes a career fair to help students navigate their professional paths. To energize campus life, the AAEPM offers students various events: Ski Pharma, a week-long ski trip organized for 250 students each year; social gatherings; and the School of Pharmacy Gala. The association also serves to represent students both locally—through various councils working directly with student representatives—and nationally through the ANEPF (National Association of Pharmacy Students in France), of which it is one of 24 board members. Activities and Objectives of the Association This association brings together students from various degree programs (Professional Bachelor’s in Cosmetics and Master’s in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Health Products, with a specialization in Aging and Anti-Aging Strategies). The association enables them to participate in competitions (U’Cosmetics), attend trade shows and conferences, and subsequently expand their professional network. The association’s objective is to promote these programs and their students so that they can gain an advantage in entering the workforce.

Activities and Objectives of the Association The ACM is a nonprofit, apolitical, and non-denominational association governed by the French Law of 1901, which aims to represent medical students in Montpellier. With close ties to the PASS/LAS Tutoring Program and the teaching staff of the UFR Medicine, the ACM provides students with the most reliable course materials and past exam questions possible, as well as other services. In addition, the ACM is part of the local student representation network (Z’élus associatifs) and the national network (ANEMF—National Association of Medical Students of France), which advocates for students’ interests before administrative and governmental bodies. The ACM also organizes public health initiatives, cultural events, and, of course, social gatherings to enliven student life in Montpellier—notably the famous Medicine Gala. Activities and Objectives of the Association The Association of Pharmacy Tutors (ATP) provides support to PASS and LAS students to help them prepare as effectively as possible for their exams. Membership in the ATP is free, and all the content offered is identical to that provided by the Montpellier Health Tutors Association and the Nîmes Health Tutoring Program. Activities and Objectives of the Association Dislalie, the association for speech-language pathology students in Montpellier, was founded in 1998. It is run by an executive board of 19 members and by all the students who belong to the association. Being a member of Dislalie means fully participating in student life and enjoying numerous benefits and events. Dislalie offers a wide range of services and activities: cultural events, social gatherings, tips for everyday life, and advice on studying abroad. But Dislalie also supports speech-language pathology students as they enter the workforce, through its equipment ordering service, job postings regularly published on the website, and preferential rates offered by our partners. Activities and Objectives of the Association This sports association consists of 3–4 members dedicated to serving medical students who wish to engage in regular physical activity. With the goal of promoting sports, it provides them with sports fields and equipment and organizes intercollegiate competitions. The Corporation Œnologie plays an active role in student life within the wine-making program by organizing various events: tours and tastings, participation in the Oenopiades conference, participation in the Union des Oenologues conference, participation in MillésimeBio and SITEVI, and the organization of introductory courses in wine tasting and oenology. Activities and Objectives of the Association AMEO is a student association founded in 2008 to represent students in the orthoptics program. This association aims to raise awareness of the program among various audiences. That is why AMEO participates in a variety of events, such as student fairs and university open houses. It collaborates with other associations on events related to prevention, citizenship, and solidarity, including the Valentin Haüy Association. Furthermore, it takes an active interest in and contributes to the development and improvement of the orthoptics department’s curriculum and the orthoptist profession itself, with the goal of providing students with the best possible information. To this end, a mentoring program was launched this year to assist first-year students, given that for most of them, this is their first year of higher education. To this end, the AMEO is a member of the FFEO (French Federation of Orthoptics Students) as well as the AGEM. The AMEO is committed to ensuring that the school’s students enjoy their years of study and their student life, and fosters cohesion among students across different grade levels by organizing, for example, a team-building weekend, festive events, a Secret Santa exchange, and clothing featuring the AMEO logo.

Activities and Objectives of the Association Louis Fine & Daisy Bel is the student association representing all audioprosthetics students in Montpellier, from the first year through the Master’s program in Sensory and Motor Neuroprosthetics. It works to foster student cohesion across different graduating classes and, through its various initiatives that promote student solidarity, contributes to the students’ academic success. Our initiatives: organizing tutoring sessions for first- and second-year students; hosting events (mentoring night, gala, graduation cocktail reception, end-of-exam parties); purchasing supplies for second-year students; connecting students with various partners in the hearing aid field (companies, nursing homes, etc.); organizing hearing health awareness days; selling sweatshirts featuring the Montpellier School of Audiology logo.
